Starship amazing is a musical electronic group based out of Anchorage, Alaska. Derek Alexander and Calvin Hansen formed Starship Amazing in early Summer, 2007, and thus, the legend is born. They have since independently produced 2 five track EP’s and 5 full length records of all-original music. Starship Amazing prides itself on music featuring a strong melodic sound combined with the fiercest of beat. This is the soundtrack to the life you wish you had.
Pronounced, What A Jerk, WTA JRK is Calvin Hansen from Starship Amazing’s Mash-Up side project. Those who are familiar with Girl Talk, The Mash Brothers, Tanner 4105 or E-603 will know precisely what to expect. For those unfamiliar with Mash-Ups, it’s essentially taking sections of popular songs and mashing them together. Like taking a guitar riff from a rock song, looping it, and placing a hiphop vocal over it. Seriously, check it out it’s some rad shit.
